The London Knights delivered one final regular season for their home fans, beating the Windsor Spitfires 6-2 at Canada Life Place Friday night.

Several of the Knights’ top players returned to the lineup, including captain Denver Barkey, who broke a 2-2 in the second period. Barkey had missed the last nine games with injury.

Forwards Easton Cowan and Kasper Halttunen, and defenseman Sam Dickinson returned as well. Halttunen and Dickinson each scored twice.

The Knights have long locked up top spot in the OHL standings, while this was the Spits’ last game of the regular season. They’re now guaranteed a third place finish, behind the Kitchener Rangers.

London’s regular season wraps up Sunday with an afternoon game against the Erie Otters.

The Knights will open the first round of the playoffs on March 28 at Canada Life Place, however their round one opponents are still to be determined.
