The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) have been recognized for outstanding support of organ and tissue donation by Ontario Health’s Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN).
In 2023/2024 the HPHA supported three organ donors, resulting in ten organs being used for transplant, saving seven lives. Fifteen additional tissue donors have helped improve the quality of life of several individuals over the same period.
“As healthcare providers, we recognize the profound impact of the Trillium Gift of Life Network on patients and their families. HPHA is proud to support organ and tissue donation, a profound act of compassion and hope,” said Lynanne Mason, Vice President Partnerships, Transformation & Chief Nursing Executive at HPHA.

The small but mighty Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance encompasses four hospitals in the small towns of Clinton, St. Mary’s and Seaforth, alongside Stratford.
As a result of their efforts, the HPHA received the Provincial Conversion Rate Award - which is only given to healthcare establishments and organizations that achieve a 63 per cent conversion rate, which is a measure of how many potential organ donors result in actual donations. HPHA achieved an impressive 100 per cent score in this category.
“Each donation reflects the strength of our shared dedication to healing and positively impacting the communities we serve,” said Mason. “Our team’s compassion and support for patients and families during donor care is truly inspiring. We are deeply honoured to be recognized by TGLN and to be a part of such a life-changing mission.”
