A heavy police presence could be seen in St. Thomas on Wednesday, resulting in 11 people being arrested and the seizure of a weapon.
Around 3 a.m., police used a search warrant at an address on St. Catharine Street.
While searching, police found a loaded, sawed off shot gun.
The people charged range in age from 29 to 54 years old.
Charges include unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition, careless storage of a firearm and possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
