During his six-day trial in the fall, former London police officer Stephen Williams faced more than a dozen sex-related charges in connection to three female complainants dating back to 2021.
Charged with sexual assault, unlawful confinement, distributing intimate images without consent, and harassment, Justice George Orsini found Williams guilty on only one count of sexual assault in connection with one of the women.
Justice Orsini said, “She was the victim of unwanted sexual touching from Mr. Williams.”
Earlier in the case, three other charges had been withdrawn by the court.
During the trial, the court heard that Williams dated several women at the same time and changed his name to Will Stephens. The court heard after meeting one of them online, he made up stories about what he did.
Justice Orsini told the court, “He told her he was a motivational speaker with 3M.”
In October of 2021, Williams resigned from the London Police Service during a professional misconduct hearing.
Already in custody over a breach of release order, a sentencing hearing date for Williams is expected to be selected Friday.
