Driver of stolen vehicle involved in multiple collisions arrested, two suspects still wanted

London police say the driver of a stolen pick-up truck, who hit multiple vehicles last week, has been arrested.

The crashes happened on the evening of March 12 along Brydges Street.

Police said three people fled from the truck on foot.

According to police, the driver was arrested over the weekend for unrelated reasons.

The 25-year-old from Melbourne was charged with several offences, including:

  • Six counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
  • Five counts of assault a peace officer with a weapon
  • Four counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident
  • Fail to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm
  • Attempt to commit indictable offence
  • Theft of a motor vehicle with violence
  • Mischief over $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Failing to comply with an undertaking
  • Criminal Negligence causing bodily harm
  • Four counts of operation while prohibited
  • Arson causing damage to property

Police say they’re still looking for the two other suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
