Southwestern Public Health has issued a boil water advisory to all users of Southwold Water Supply.
The advisory was put in place as a precaution because of a watermain break, which the organization said may lead to back siphonage and the potential presence of bacteria in the water.
All users of Southwold water supply are reminded to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, preparing infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods, or making ice.
Because of the advisory, the Thames Valley District School Board has also closed Southwold Public School — before/After School programs are also closed.
