One person is in custody after police were asking people in a west London neighbourhood to “shelter in place.”

Police were in the area of Kernohan Parkway and Ridgewood Crescent for what was described as a “barricaded person.”

“Approximately 10:20 a.m., members of the London Police Service uniformed division were called to check the welfare of an individual,” said Const. Matt Dawson.

Around 1:30 p.m. police said a man was taken into custody. Officers are expected to remain at the scene while the investigation continues.

This is a developing story. More details will be provided as they become available.
