Two people died following 482 St. Thomas collisions in 2024, according to a St. Thomas Police Service report.
Of those 482 collisions, 887 vehicles were involved. 52 injuries were reported in relation to the collisions.
A further breakdown of the vehicle collision included 23 pedestrians, 113 unattended vehicles, and 15 cyclists. The highest month of the year for vehicle collisions in St. Thomas was November with 52.
The STPS said the most collisions took place on Thursdays and Fridays. The peak collision time was between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The report outlined First Avenue and Talbot Street and Elm Street and Fairview Avenue intersections for the top collision location.
