A woman has been rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition after a serious collision involving a pedestrian in Guelph.
Officers were called to the scene of the crash on Woolwich Street, south of Speedvale Avenue around 5:10 a.m.
They said a woman in her 30s had been hit by the driver of a vehicle while she was walking on the road. They believe she was wearing dark clothing at the time of the collision.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the crash site and cooperated with investigators.
Woolwich Street was closed for several hours during the investigation, but reopened just before 12:30 p.m.
