A woman is facing assault and weapons charges after police said she pulled a knife on paramedics earlier this year.
Guelph Police Service officers were called to an address in the south end of the city on Jan. 26. Paramedics told them they had been responding to a call from a woman who had fallen, but when they tried to take some alcohol away from her so they could complete an assessment of her injuries, she pulled out a large kitchen knife.
Officers seized the knife and took the woman to another ambulance so she could be transported for medical treatment.
On Thursday, a 42-year-old Guelph woman was arrested for assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
