Police are trying to identify two suspects after the same store at the Stone Road Mall in Guelph was broken into twice.
Guelph Police Service officers were called to a business at the mall just before 9 a.m. Feb. 15. Two men had entered the mall and used a tool to force open the drawers at a kiosk business, Wireless Wave, to steal multiple phones. Police said the stolen merchandise is worth approximately $7,800.
Twelve days later, a witness called police at 7:40 a.m. and said they saw a man break into the same business. The suspect took off while the witness was still on the phone with police and was seen getting into the passenger side of a black vehicle, possible a Toyota Corolla. Cash and phones were stolen.
The suspects in the first incident were described as men in their late 20s with chin strap beards and goatees. They were possibly South Asian. One suspect was approximately 6’1” and 200 pounds. He wore khaki-coloured Adidas track pants, a grey jacket and black shoes. The other was shorter and wore a silver jacket, burgundy track pants and white running shoes. They left in a newer navy blue Hyundai Elantra.
The suspect in the second incident was described as a brown-skinned man with black hair and a thin beard. He was wearing a black jacket with a white collar over a light blue hoodie, dark pants, blue and white Nike sneakers and a red Ferrari hat.
