Street parking bans will go into effect at midnight Tuesday in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge as all three cities have declared snow events.
Residents are asked to move all parked vehicles so snow plows can clear city streets.
Vehicles left on the road risk being ticketed and/or towed.
The snow event will remain in effect for 24 hours or until called off by the cities.
Travel advisory
Environment Canada has also issued a winter weather travel advisory for all areas between Waterloo Region, Guelph, Grand Bend, Goderich, Tobermory, Sault Ste. Marie, Parry Sound, Brockville and St. Catharines.
The agency is predicting between 5 and 10 centimetres of the white stuff.
They say snow will move in quickly on Tuesday afternoon as an Alberta clipper moves across the province.
Environment Canada said the snow will taper off into flurries by Wednesday morning, though snow squalls are possible on Wednesday afternoon.
Drivers could experience hazardous road conditions and visibility may be an issue.
