Search continues for missing Goderich teenager last seen on Friday

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for help as they continue looking for a missing 16-year-old from Goderich.

Police said the teenager, Hunter, was last seen at Goderich District Collegiate Institute on South Street on Friday at 10:40 a.m.

By 1:38 p.m. that day, police had received a missing person’s report about the teenager.

He is described as white, approximately 6’3” with a slim build. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a camo coat, grey hoodie, Blundstone boots and black snow pants.

In an update on social media on Tuesday, Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Ed Sanchuk said, “Investigators are asking all residents and businesses to check their video surveillance systems on Friday, Feb. 28 between the hours of 9:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Residents of Goderich are also being asked to check their properties, outbuildings and wooded areas surrounding their homes. Motorists are also being asked to check their dash camera footage.”

On Saturday, officers searched the Maitland Trails in the area of Hullet Marsh for any sign of Hunter.
