Rail line work has closed a portion of a road south of Guelph Wednesday morning.
Wellington Road 124 between Township Road 1 and Wellington Road 32 could be seen closed off around 8:15 a.m.
“A recent CN inspection of the crossing revealed that damage was done to the crossing and that it required timely repair to ensure safety of its use,” Canadian National Railway (CN Rail) said in part in an email to CTV News.
A CN Rail vehicle could be seen, with crews working on the rail line.
Wellington County staff told CTV News they were told by CN Rail about the maintenance plans on Monday afternoon. They said the road has since reopened.
