Police looking for suspect after assault of Waterloo store employee

Waterloo Regional Police are searching for a man after a Waterloo store employee was assaulted Monday night.

At around 6:50 p.m., police said a male suspect went to a business in the area of Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North.

He reportedly went inside the store and began making derogatory comments toward an employee. He then damaged property inside and assaulted the employee, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

The man was described as being between the ages of 30 and 35-years-old, approximately 5’8”, with a shaved head. He was seen wearing a black jacket and loose blue jeans.

Police released photos of the suspect and are asking anyone who knows his identity to call 519-570-9777, ext. 6399.
