Group of people sprayed with noxious substance in Waterloo: WRPS

Waterloo Regional Police are looking to identify the man pictured, March 14, 2025 (Courtesy: WRPS).

Police are looking for tips after a group of people were sprayed with a noxious substance in Uptown Waterloo early Friday morning.

Waterloo Regional Police said that they were called to the bar district on King Street North at around 2:25 a.m.

They said an unknown man went up to a group of people outside and sprayed them with what police believe to be bear mace. The man ran away before police arrived.

Police said several people had minor injuries and were treated by paramedics or sent to hospital.

Police would like to identify the man pictured.

They are asking the public to call 519-570-9777 if anyone has any information.
