The Kitchener Auditorium is seen in Kitchener, Ont. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011.

An esports championship weekend is coming to the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

Toronto Ultra, a professional esports team, will be hosting the 2025 Call of Duty League Championship Weekend from June 26 until June 29.

In a release from the Aud, officials said the world’s top eight Call of Duty teams will be competing.

The team has a partnership with Bell, the parent company of Bell Media.

Esports have been growing in popularity, with tournaments drawing millions of spectators and handing out major cash prizes.

Last year, the Region of Waterloo threw its support behind a bid to attract the BLAST Rocket League North America event to the Aud.
