Police say a bouncer at a Guelph bar was knocked unconscious after a man who was kicked out attacked him.
On Feb. 16, Guelph Police said they were called to a business on Woodlawn Road West. Police were told a man who had been kicked out of the bar by security earlier for allegedly disruptive behaviour came back and attacked the staff member who removed him.
Police said the employee was dealing with another customer when the man punched them in the head multiple times. The bouncer was knocked to the ground and investigators said the man continued to kick him several times before running away.
The security guard was sent to hospital where he was diagnosed with multiple injuries including a concussion.
Police identified and found the suspect Tuesday night. He was arrested at his home.
A 37-year-old Guelph man was charged with assault causing bodily harm. He will appear in court April 4.
