An arrest has been made as part of an investigation into the sudden death of a Kitchener man in 2023.
Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation on Sept. 8, 2023 after the body of a man, later identified as Juan David Escobar Ortiz, was discovered in a sedan along Wellington Road 34.
On Wednesday, members of the OPP’s Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement Squad, with help from the Waterloo Regional Police Service, arrested a 25-year-old woman from Durham while she was at a Kitchener address.
She has been charged with indignity to a dead body and theft under $5,000.
She is due in court next week.
