The East Edmonton Health Centre urgent care centre will be closed over the weekend.
Alberta Health Services (AHS) sent out a release Friday saying the centre would be closed due to a water leak.
AHS said it recognizes unplanned closures can be stressful to patients.
“AHS recognizes unplanned closures can be stressful to patients seeking care. AHS is working to complete the necessary cleanup as quickly as possible,” the press release read.
“Staff will remain on site through the weekend to assist and redirect any patients who arrive at the urgent care centre. AHS would like to thank the community for its patience and understanding as this work is completed.”
Regular operations were expected to resume Monday at 5 p.m.
