If you’re looking to feel Hakuna Matata, The Lion King musical will be returning to Edmonton for three weeks this summer.
The stage version of the classic Disney movie that’s been touring North America for 22 years will be at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium between July 9 to July 27. The opening night will take place July 10 at 7:30 p.m.
For many musical lovers, The Lion King is a popular performance to take children to see on stage performances for the first time. A perfect chance to feel the Circle of Life by bringing your own kids if you’ve seen it before - or a perfect date night to feel the love tonight.
In Edmonton, the musical will play Tuesdays through Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. online and on Ticketmaster. People looking to buy for groups of 10 or more can call 1-800-889-8457.
The musical was last on stage in Edmonton in 2015.
