Commonwealth Stadium will host The Weeknd in July, the city announced Friday.

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, known professionally as The Weeknd, will take the stage in Edmonton on July 19 as part of his “After Hours Til Dawn” tour with Playboi Carti and Mike Dean.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 7.

“We are very excited that Edmonton was chosen as a stop on The Weeknd’s tour,” the stadium’s director Heather Seutter said in a news release. “Artists like The Weeknd who perform in our city play a vital role in fostering cultural identity, creating community and driving growth in Edmonton’s economy.”

The Weeknd released his sixth studio album, called Hurry Up Tomorrow, on Thursday.
