The City of Edmonton will close the Northeast River Valley Park Wednesday morning to conduct a prescribed burn in the area.
If the weather cooperates, the prescribed burn will help reduce wildfire risk and restore health to the ecosystem, according to a Tuesday release.

The city says smoke in the area is normal and city crews will be taking measures to reduce smoke impacts to nearby communities.
