The union representing Edmonton Public Schools support staff says the district has not yet made an offer the bargaining committee can take back to striking members.
CUPE 3550 on Tuesday told CTV News Edmonton it was still in talks with Edmonton Public Schools.
“There have been no updated offers yet at the table that the local is able to present to the membership,” a spokesperson wrote in an email.
A public school division spokesperson confirmed there were no updates since the two parties returned to the bargaining table on Thursday.
Roughly 3,000 education assistants, cafeteria workers, administration staff and others walked off the job Jan. 13.
The union is asking for better wages. At the start of the strike, the school division said it had put everything it could on the table.
