An Edmonton man is going to spend his money responsibly after winning the lottery.
Gilbert Cabarrubias, the winner of $1 million earlier this month, is going to pay off his mortgage and bills before he takes a trip to the Philippines.
“I made a promise to myself, if something good (like this) ever happens to me, I will help to rebuild the church at home,” he said.
He bought his tickets from the Circle K at 18208 89 Avenue NW.
