After six straight days with sub-zero highs, we’re back above the freezing mark this afternoon as the melt begins again.

Temperatures should get a handful of degrees above zero through the next three or four days, with mornings in the -4 to -8 range.

Spring officially starts Thursday, and it’ll FEEL like Spring.

As we all know, that doesn’t mean we’re completely done with the risk of snow.

But, it looks like we’ll see a lot more melting snow than falling snow in the coming week.

There’s a slight risk of some showers turning to flurries Friday night into Saturday.

But, there’s also a high degree of uncertainty with the development of the low pressure system that could potentially deliver that precip.

So...I’m leaving it as a 30% chance for now & we’ll just keep an eye on it in the coming days to see where and when that system actually forms.

In the short-term...we’ll see some sunshine in the Edmonton area this afternoon as the morning clouds move out.

Sunny with a few clouds again Wednesday and then some increased cloudcover for Thursday.
