Two people are dead after a crash south of Edmonton Wednesday night.

Mounties responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 21 and Township Road 502 just after 8:30 p.m.

The two occupants of a Kia Forte died on scene, RCMP said. The two people in the other vehicle, a Hyundai Santa Fe, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The victims were identified as a 33-year-old North Battleford resident and a 73-year-old Camrose resident.

“Leduc RCMP are currently conducting an investigation of impaired driving causing death on the Hyundai driver,” police said.
