A man is recovering in hospital after a shooting in northeast Calgary on Sunday.
Police were called to a parking lot located in the 10900 block of 38 Street N.E. around 4:15 p.m. for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting, but the victim and offenders had fled the scene, according to an update Monday.
Police say a man in his 20s with gunshot wounds was dropped off at a hospital a short time later.
The investigation is in its early stages, but police believe the incident was targeted and the victim and offender knew each other.
As of Monday afternoon, the victim was still in hospital in stable condition.
A person was taken into custody in relation to the shooting on Sunday, but they were released without charges.
