The province is looking for performers to help celebrate Alberta Day.

The annual event, which celebrates the province’s diverse culture, history, music and arts, usually takes place on Sept. 1 but in 2025, it will take place on Aug. 31, in Edmonton and Calgary, in front of thousands of people.

For 2025, the province has put out a call for performers from all genres. To be considered, applicants must submit contact information, rates for 20 minute, 30 minute, 45 minute and one-hour long performances, special staging or technical requirements, an artist/ensemble biography, a list of recent performances or past performance highlights, links to two or more music or video selections, an artist website and/or social media accounts, and variable rates (if applicable) for solo, duo, full band or other options.

Artists under 18 may apply but a parent or guardian must sign the application, receive the funding and serve as contact person.

The application deadline is March 24 at 4:30 p.m. Successful applicants will be notified in the spring of 2025.
