Police seek dash-cam footage of hit-and-run near Somerset-Bridlewood CTrain station

Police are searching for dash-cam footage and witnesses after a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian near the Somerset-Bridlewood CTrain station earlier this month.

Between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 6, police say a man in his 80s was hit by a vehicle while walking westbound in a marked crosswalk on Somervale Court S.W.

He was hit by a white cargo van turning left off westbound Shawville Gate S.W. onto southbound Somervale Court S.W.

The man received non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the van did not remain at the scene or report the incident.

Investigators are seeking witnesses to the incident or dash-cam footage from the area from the time of the collision.
