The Calgary Fire Department is investigating after a fire tore through a two-storey townhouse in the southwest community of Glenbrook on Tuesday.
At 9:15 p.m., crews responded to the 5100 block of 35 Avenue S.W.
On arrival, firefighters called a second alarm to ensure adequate resources were dispatched.
“Upon arrival, fire crews faced significant smoke and flame from a two-storey residential townhome,” officials said in a news release.
“Firefighters quickly initiated an exterior fire attack with hand lines. Access was quickly gained to the interior where further fire suppression efforts along with an interior search was conducted.”
The CFD says two townhomes were significantly damaged in the fire, but no one was injured.
Three people have been displaced by the fire.
