No injuries in fire that damaged building at Lafarge plant

A fire heavily damaged a structure at a Lafarge ready-mix concrete plant just east of Calgary city limits.

A building at a Lafarge plant in southeast Calgary was heavily damaged in an early morning fire.

Crews were called to the facility, on Duff Drive S.E. at about 2:30 a.m.

Rocky View County Fire Services responded to the scene and were supported by the Calgary Fire Department.

The fire was extinguished by 7 a.m.

One of the buildings at the site sustained significant damage.

No one was injured and the cause is unknown.
