Daniel Hauser became the Western Hockey League’s all-time wins leader Wednesday night, leading the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-1 triumph over the Red Deer Rebels at the Saddledome.

The win was the 123rd of Hauser’s career.

It was also a milestone night for forward Oliver Tulk, who reached 100 points for the first time in his career.

Carson Wetsch, Hunter Aura, Brandon Gorzynski, Sawyer Mynio and Ethan Moore scored single goals for the Hitmen, while Samuel Drancak scored for the Rebels.

Hauser stopped 21 shots in goal, as he passed Nolan Maier to become the WHL’s all-time leader in wins.

Hauser’s record in 175 WHL games is 123-36-8-1, with a 2.59 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.

The win moved the Hitmen into a first-place tie with Medicine Hat in the Eastern Conference and Central Division.

Next up for the Hitmen is a Saturday night rematch with the Rebels at Peavey Mart Centrium in Red Deer.

The following day, the regular season schedule concludes with a Saddledome showdown against the Tigers that could see first place at stake. Puck drop for that one is 5 p.m.

The club announced a flash sale Thursday morning, with two tickets to Sunday’s Fan Appreciation Day finale going for $30.

Also, the Hitmen announced that the 2025 WHL playoffs will be streamed free on Victory+ TV.
