Calgary fire crews are investigating after a blaze broke out at the Ramada hotel on Banff Trail.
Firefighters responded to the scene shortly after midnight.
Guests at the hotel told CTV News they smelled smoke and were told to evacuate the building.

No one appears to have been injured, but the only sign of a fire at the location is a pile of charred debris in the parking lot.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
