City crews are knocking down Foothills Stadium to make way for a new multi-sport fieldhouse.
The stadium, formerly known as Burns Stadium, was scheduled for demolition in 2023 to make space for a new facility at the Foothills Athletic Park in northwest Calgary.
It was home to the Calgary Cannons, a baseball team in the Pacific Coast League, from 1985 to 2002.
The stadium will be completely removed, but a baseball diamond will be available for teams in the spring.
