From Hockey Night in Canada to Country Night in Canada, country star Steven Lee Olsen is pursuing his passions.
“For anyone that knows me, it’s country music, it’s snowboarding, it’s hockey,” Olsen tells CTV News.
Olsen is embarking on his Country Night in Canada tour, including a stop on Jan. 25 at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino in Calgary.
“We didn’t have a lot of money growing up to play hockey, but there were programs put in place for underprivileged kids to get a chance, and that was the only reason I got to play hockey,” says Olsen.

One song guaranteed to be part of the setlist is Blue Ain’t Your Color.
Co-written by Olsen and recorded by Keith Urban, the song rose to No. 1 on U.S. country charts in 2016.
“It changed my life forever,” says the Ontario-born and -raised Olsen.
“Keith was looking for songs at the time, and (it was) the right place at the right time.
“I got to bring my mom to the Grammys.”
