The Calgary Surge will play another game at the Saddledome this season, after setting a league record with their debut at the arena last year.
The team announced they will play their season finale at the ‘Dome on Sunday, August 10, at 6 p.m. MST against the Niagara River Lions.
“We are thrilled to be back at the iconic Scotiabank Saddledome and to be able to make good on the promise to our fans that we would return,” said Jason Ribeiro, Surge vice-chairman and president.

The Surge set a Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) attendance record in 2024 with 12,327 basketball fans filling the dome for their season opener. The game was broadcast nationally on TSN.
“Last year’s historic CEBL season opener at Scotiabank Saddledome was a massive success and a great display of the basketball fandom that exists all across our great country,” said Mike Morreale, commissioner and co-founder of the CEBL.
“I have no doubt this year’s Surge finale at Saddledome will deliver another incredible moment for basketball fans and the entire CEBL.”
Tickets for the game will be available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. MST on April 3.

The team said they will be making another “marquee game announcement” in the coming days, before releasing their full regular season home game schedule.
