Calgary police have arrested a young man allegedly responsible for an armed robbery at a drugstore that saw an employee threatened with a knife.
The robbery happened at the Calgary Drug Mart on Richard Way S.W., in the community of Lincoln Park, at 4:30 p.m. on March 4.
Police say the suspect demanded prescription drugs, then left in a grey Dodge Durango.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect.
They searched the man’s home in the 3200 block of 32A Avenue S.W., as well as the Dodge Durango, seizing two knives and clothing allegedly used during the robbery.
The 19-year-old Calgary man is facing several charges in connection with the robbery.
He is scheduled to appear in court on April 16.
