The latest weather details, plus the five-day forecast.

Road conditions may become dicey on Tuesday across the region as an Alberta clipper low makes its way through.

Environment Canada issued a winter weather travel advisory for York Region, Simcoe County, Muskoka, and surrounding areas, noting “reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.”

The weather agency stated snow would move quickly into the area by the afternoon and continue through the night, with up to 15 centimetres of accumulation predicted.

And the wintry weather will continue into Wednesday with snow squalls possible, the agency added.

“Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly,” Environment Canada stated in its advisory on Tuesday.

Late Tuesday afternoon, the weather agency issued a snow squall watch for the region, noting squalls from Georgian Bay would bring sudden very low visibility in bursts of heavy snow throughout the day on Wednesday and into the evening.
