Weather Advisory
Environment Canada issued a blowing snow advisory for the region on Thursday, noting reduced visibility making travel hazardous.
“Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve,” the national weather agency stated.
Northwesterly winds gusting 70 kilometres per hour will persist throughout the day.
The agency expects the advisory to remain in place into the evening.
