One Barrie man was spotted outside in the bone-chilling temperatures dressed improperly for the extreme weather conditions.

A concerned citizen said they spotted this man Monday afternoon and contacted Barrie police after observing him outside in the cold for a long period of time.

Police officers were in the residential area just north of Bayview Drive and Little Avenue and were able to find the chilly 36-year-old quickly.

Police say the man ended up being wanted on an outstanding warrant by a nearby police service. Police also confirmed finding a quantity of suspected methamphetamine while taking him into custody.

The accused was taken to Barrie Police Headquarters where he was charged with possession of a schedule I substance-Methamphetamine and processed on an outstanding warrant.

Officials confirmed he has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the courts in early March.
