Two inmates were recaptured after their brief reported escape from Beaver Creek Institution in Gravenhurst Sunday afternoon.
According to The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), staff members in the minimum-security unit noted that Rodney Cobb and Jeffry Parker were not accounted for during a 1:45 p.m. count.
The CSC say they immediately contacted OPP and issued a warrant for the pair’s arrests.
The CSC confirmed that they were then apprehended by police nearly an hour later.
The circumstances of the incident will be investigated by the CSC.
