Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for much of central Ontario for the weekend.
The national weather agency is calling for a significant amount of rain and says the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb the 20 to 40 millimetres projected.

The heavy rain is expected to hit Saturday night into Sunday.
There is a risk of thunderstorms, and rainfall amounts could exceed 40 millimetres in some areas.
Flooding and pooling in low lying areas is also possible.
Areas effected by the rainfall are:
- Barrie,
- Collingwood,
- Hillsdale,
- Orillia,
- Lagoon City,
- Washago,
- Midland,
- Coldwater,
- Orr Lake,
- Huntsville,
- Baysville,
- Parry Sound,
- Rosseau,
- Killbear,
- Bracebridge,
- Gravenhurst,
- Innisfil,
- New Tecumseth,
- Angus and
- Caledon
