One driver was arrested and charged after police found him asleep behind the wheel of his parked car.

When police arrived on scene, they say they found the suspect asleep in his vehicle with the engine running and the window partially down.

After waking up the driver and engaging in a quick conversation, police began an investigation into impaired driving.

As a result, a 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration and having care or control of a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.

In accordance with impaired driving laws, the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for seven.

The suspect was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the courts at a later date.
