A routine traffic stop by Orillia police resulted in several charges for one driver.
On Friday, around 3:40 p.m., officers say they observed a vehicle traveling at an high rate of speed on Highway 400 in Oro-Medonte.
After pulling the driver over, police say he was allegedly impaired and wanted on a Canadian Border Services Agency warrant.

According to Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), a CBSA officer may issue a warrant for the arrest and detention of a permanent resident or foreign national if the officer has reasonable grounds to believe the individual is inadmissible under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
As a result of this traffic stop, the 38-year-old Brampton man is also facing some charges.
Police have charged him with operation while impaired of alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol-concentration of 80 plus, speeding 49-kilometres an hour over the posted limit along with a plethora of other charges.
