The city of Barrie recognizes Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day Tuesday.
“From the early morning hours to late at night, our transit operators are the backbone of Barrie’s public transportation system,” said Mayor Alex Nuttall.
“Because of them, seniors can attend their appointments, parents can transport their children to extracurricular activities, students can get to class, and individuals can commute to and from work efficiently,” he said.
“Thank you to all Barrie Transit operators and workers for your continued dedication to the critical role you play in our community.”
