Grammy-nominated country star Steven Lee Olsen brings his Country Night for Canada Tour to Barrie.

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and Newmarket Ont., local Steven Lee Olsen is hitting the road for his Country Night in Canada tour.

The tour kicks off on Wednesday at the Waverly Hotel in British Columbia, with a Valentine’s Day stop scheduled in Barrie on Feb., 14.

Born and raised in the suburbs, Olsen moved to Nashville in 2004 to pursue his dream of becoming a songwriter. Over the years, he said he honed his craft in Music City, drawing inspiration from his R&B, soul, country, and pop influences.

Olsen quickly established himself as a standout in Nashville’s songwriting community, penning two U.S. number one hits: the Grammy-nominated, double-platinum-certified ‘Blue Ain’t Your Color’ performed by Keith Urban and ‘More Girls Like You’ by Kip Moore.

His songwriting credits include work with country music legends such as Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, Billy Currington, and The Judds.

“Can’t believe I am finally heading out across the country on my first headlining tour with one of my boys, Jojo Mason. It’s going to be a party y’all,” Olsen expressed online.

His single Outta Yours was the fourth most-streamed song and fifth most-spun song among Canadian-signed country artists.

Outta Yours also earned a gold certification.

Olsen was the seventh most-streamed Canadian-signed country artist, with over 80-million global streams.

His latest single, Out Here, cracked the Top 20 less than three months after its release.
