Man charged after police seize drugs and their delivery instructions: OPP

A man is facing multiple charges after police seized a quantity of drugs this week in Orangeville and instructions to deliver them.

According to Dufferin OPP, detachment officers began an investigation near Fead Street this past Monday.

Then, on Thursday, Dufferin OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant, where they arrested a male suspect and seized fentanyl among other items.

Police say the items seized included 19.7 grams of assorted coloured fentanyl, a cell phone, and a note for Purolator to deliver the drugs to a mailbox.

The 32-year-old male suspect from Orangeville was charged with fentanyl possession, fentanyl possession for the purpose of trafficking, and seven counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is urged to contact Dufferin OPP.
