Dufferin OPP’s ‘Horse Whisperer’ saves the day

Two adventurous horses decided to take an unexpected stroll in Mono.

The duo was spotted venturing down Mono Centre Road on Monday.

Thanks to the quick thinking of Sgt. Moore with the Dufferin OPP, who police say is the unit’s very own “horse whisperer”—the situation was handled with ease.

Officials say the OPP A Platoon team arrived on scene to safely wrangle and return the horses to their pen.

It is unclear how the duo escaped the farm.

Sgt. Moore just happened to be on duty when the two horses decided they wanted to go on a little sightseeing.

“No hoofprints left behind, just another day of community service in the wild world of Mono,” concluded officers in a lighthearted statement.
