One driver escaped the flames that destroyed his car in Orillia.
On Friday morning, firefighters assisted by Orillia Provincial Police arrived on the scene of a vehicle fire near Ridge Road and Line 4.
Police say a vehicle caught fire, but it is unclear exactly how it started.
Officials confirmed that there were no injuries and everyone in the vehicle and surrounding area was safe.
“All traffic is moving well with vehicle and debris removed,” stated OPP.
Provincial police remind drivers to always be prepared when traveling in the winter weather, reminding the community to bring snacks, a blanket and plenty of warm items.
